Parent participation

If you are a parent or carer who has had support from Ivison Trust, we would like to offer you the opportunity to get involved with our Parent Participation. Affected parents founded Ivison Trust and will always be at the heart of what we do.

“Validating and relieving- comforting there is action and hearts that want change”

“The Parent Participation Programme made me feel less isolated and that I was not to blame, it made me and my husband feel empowered.”

Getting Involved

  • Here are some of the ways you can get involved:
  • Support research projects by sharing your experience
  • Become a voluntary Trustee for Ivison Trust
  • Talk at conferences to social workers, police, health and teaching staff
  • Share your lived experience with the media
  • Consult with professionals to improve their services
  • Share your insights with other parents on the Ivison Trust website
  • Collaborate with other parents to create change
  • Fundraise for Ivison Trust

The difference we make

Towards Hope is an animation that parents collaborated on, sharing their experiences and voices to challenge the blame associated with child exploitation.

Have a look some more of the fantastic activities that our parents have been getting involved with recently.
