Child sexual exploitation – the impact it has on families from a parent’s perspective
Tuesday 13th March 2018
St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green N, Manchester M12 6FZ
9.30am – 12.00pm
Cost: £12.50 per person (plus a £1.54 booking fee)
During this seminar a parent will share her experience of living with a child who has been sexually exploited. She will talk about the interventions which worked and those which she deemed as unhelpful and confusing. She will give insight into the pressures of living with CSE including the perpetrator’s interventions, family breakdown, educational impact for the child and the long term health implications as a result of prolonged trauma and sleep deprivation.
Pace will be introducing the seminar and will share their relational safeguarding model and the current Centre of Expertise practice guidance on how to engage parents effected by CSE.
